Robert Downey Jr Finds Wing Chun

Robert Downey Jr. credits Wing Chun with with helping him find focus, kick drugs and resurrect his career. Downey says “I can’t even describe how Wing Chun has impacted my ability to stay well and focused. It has changed my life“.

Downey has been studying Wing Chun since 2003 under Eric Oram (William Cheung lineage) in Los Angeles (read more about his journey here and here). Before I had heard about Downey finding Wing Chun I had watched him in Sherlock Holmes and had commented that he seemed to be doing something similar to Wing Chun. Until the Ip Man movie we rarely saw Wing Chun on celuloid, but happily this is changing.
